The use of air filtration systems in pig farms is particularly important as it not only reduces the entry of pathogens but also significantly improves the health of pigs, effectively enhancing production performance. However, the prevailing negative pressure ventilation air filtration model is costly, requiring high airtightness in the pig farm and more air filters.
A new type of positive pressure ventilation air filtration system is now available, which greatly reduces equipment investment costs while ensuring air filtration effectiveness. Positive pressure filtration ventilation is the most efficient and safest typical ventilation system currently available.
Positive pressure filtration ventilation operates on the principle of forced air supply. Fresh air filtered through the positive pressure air filtration system is blown into the indoor environment, creating positive pressure indoors. This dilutes the polluted indoor air and exhausts it outside.
When positive pressure is used to prevent filtered air from infiltrating the building, there is low demand for airtightness in the pigsty. Lower ventilation requirements can reduce the number of filters, thus alleviating financial investment pressure.
The positive pressure air filtration system is equipped with primary and sub-high-efficiency filters. The positive pressure air supply method can filter out over 99.5% of particles sized 0.3 microns and above, effectively preventing the infection of pathogens such as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and pseudorabies, ensuring the health of pigs inside the shed.
